You are receiving this email because at one point you were a part of the Santa Rosa Genealogical Society. Due to the pandemic, the society has been inactive for the nearly past two years, and we are hoping to revive the interest in local genealogy in order to preserve our history and to inform generations to come about the lives of their ancestors who lived and worked in Santa Rosa County. We have not met in almost two years, and we need to revitalize our interest and our dedication toward making our children aware of their families' pasts and the events that shaped their own future. Please join us if you can.

Our first meeting will be held at 10 AM on October 16, 2021, at the Santa Rosa Genealogy Library at 6275 Dogwood Drive, Milton, FL 32570. We hope to have a presentation by the local author of a number of historical events in the surrounding areas. Please join us if you can.

At present, we have three recruited officers; Rachel Willis Hamm is our acting president; Vic Campbell is vice president, and (I) Gayle Cowley will serve as secretary/treasurer. We cannot continue as an organization without your support, and we hope you will make every effort to participate, so that we can explore our rich local history with local residents and those who will come after us.

As an indication of your support, I am asking that you support this renewed effort to re-establish our group by submitting your annual dues of $15.00. You can mail them to the Genealogical Society of Santa Rosa County, Post Office 3, Milton, FL 32570, or you may bring them with you to the meeting in October. We will offer relevant programs, share local history, support your research, and provide guidance if you need it.

If you have questions, feel welcome to contact me. We are looking forward to renewing our efforts to make local family history available, interesting, and well-documented. Please do your best to support our stories for future generations who are lucky enough to be a part of our county.

I also hope that all of you will share YOUR favorite sites with us, too. 

Please try to attend. Our discussions are lively and collaborative, and we really need to look toward the future and make plans to solidify our membership and our purpose.
